Reach Haridwar and check in to your hotel and get a rest after the travelling. Visit Har Ki Pauri in the evening to see the Ganga Aarti which is a ritual ceremony held by priests whose lamps and religious songs fill the atmosphere. The view of floating diyas on the river is very spiritual. Having spent a quiet night at the Ganga, go back to the hotel and have dinner and a night.
Start off after breakfast and make your way to Barkot and reach the lovely Himalayan world. It takes you across scenic views with green valleys, rivers and mountain sceneries. Morning adventure to Janki Chatti where the Yamunotri pilgrimage begins. At this point start with the 6 km walk to Yamunotri Temple or through pony/palki services. Then after breakfast start your trip to Guptkashi, which is one of the most scenic and long ways of the yatra. Evening is at liberty to rest preparing body and soul to the Kedarnath trek.
Move to Sonprayag and then to Gaurikund, which is the point of origin of the Kedarnath trek. Start the walk on foot or go with pony, palki or helicopter at extra expense. On arriving at Kedarnath, have a rest in the place of accommodation and take a shower.
