Arrive in Delhi and start to explore by visiting the historic Red Fort. Walk along its huge gates and imperial corridors with your guide recounting the tales of the Mughal period. Then go to Chandi Chowk, which is one of the oldest and busiest markets in India. Take a rapid rickshaw ride, passing through its constricted by-lanes decorated with spice shops, fabric stores, and wedding lehenga shops. Do not miss the most popular street food, Parathas, Jalebis, and more. Post lunch, proceed for a visit to Raj Ghat, the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of our Nation. Then explore the majestic India Gate together with lush gardens. Drive by Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament House. Later, drive past the Lakshmi Narayan Temple and visit the famous Lotus Temple, a flower-shaped piece of architecture, and stop by to snap pictures of the temple and its tranquil environment. You can also take a short visit to Agrasen ki Baoli, the centuries-old stepwell hidden in its heart that you can visit if time permits. Go back to relax at your hotel for the night.
The next day, head to Safdarjung Tomb, one of Delhi's last standing Mughal monuments with few tourists and ideal for a peaceful photography session and tour. For a brief museum visit, you can check out the National Handicrafts and Handlooms Museum (Crafts Museum) at Pragati Maidan, showcasing traditional Indian crafts. Finally, enter Dilli Haat, where you can pick up some beautiful handcrafted products along with some local cuisine. In the evening, walk through Lodhi Garden, a green garden with blooming flowers in the heart of the city, water ponds, and tombs from the Sayyid and Lodi dynasties. It's perfect for a peaceful break and some photos. Afterwards, head to the National Museum for sculptures from antiquity, artifacts, and paintings that precede influence from all corners of India, and it is near Lodhi Garden. You can also go to the serene Safdarjung Tomb, one of Delhi’s lesser-known gems, ideal for enjoying sunset views and fewer crowds.
Begin your last day with a trip to the majestic and spiritual atmosphere of Akshardham Temple. For those who are fond of modern culture, you should probably go to the India Habitat Centre or perhaps the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art. If you love art and culture, explore the Crafts Museum at Pragati Maidan. This open-air museum is full of traditional Indian art, textiles, and handicrafts. Spend the rest of your morning at Dilli Haat, a large open-air market in Delhi where artisans from around India sell crafts, jewelry, pottery, textiles, and more alike. The place serves regional cuisines from various states of India as well. If you want to spend a relaxing afternoon with some shopping, an awesome meal, and a visit to Connaught Place, Delhi's famous shopping and dining hub. You can shop at the famous Palika Bazar at very affordable prices and the nearby Janpath Market. In the evening, we’ll assist with your departure and drop you off at the airport or railway station with loads of memories to carry back home.
