Once you have checked in and refreshed yourself, begin your heritage tour.Explore the historic Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage and the place where Mughal emperors lived. Visit its huge red sandstone walls, Diwan-i-Aam, Diwan-i-Khas and royal courtyards. Later visit Salimgarh Fort which is situated beside the Red Fort and is of strategic value during Mughal and British reigns. Visit Purana Qila (Old Fort) after breakfast and it is thought to be one of the oldest forts in Delhi. This fort is a product of Humayun and Sher Shah Suri and it represents early Mughal and Afghan architecture. Visit Bara Darwaza, Qila-i-Kuhna Mosque and Sher Mandal.Then proceed to Humayun Tomb which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a predecessor of the Taj Mahal. In the morning, visit South Delhi to see Tughlaqabad Fort constructed by Ghiyas-ud-din Tughlaq. Then pay a visit to the Adilabad Fort which is a smaller fort constructed by Muhammad bin Tughlaq and is found near Tughlaqabad.
