It is a short drive into the ancient town of Pushkar which has a sacred lake and a rare Brahma Temple.

DAY 01 - Ajmer Arrival and Local sightseeing.

By train, bus or car arrive in Ajmer. Check into your hotel. Begin your tour with the popular Ajmer Sharif Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. It is a very holy site in India. Individuals of every religion visit here to get blessed. The qawwali, incense, and a large number of worshipers make the experience of the spirituality unforgettable. Take time and pray and relax in the serene environment.   The second thing to visit is Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra which is an ancient mosque constructed using the Indo-Islamic style. It is partially destroyed yet it demonstrates the glorious past of Ajmer. Then go to Ana Sagar Lake, a 12th century man-made lake. It is a wonderful location to unwind, take photographs and appreciate nature due to the hills behind it and the still water.   Conclusively walking around the lake, in Daulat Bagh, a garden adjacent to the lake where the locals spend their evenings. This is an awe-inspiring sunset. Go back to your hotel, dine and spend the night in Ajmer.

DAY 02 - Full‑Day Trip to Pushkar

On the second day, go on a trip to the town of Pushkar, a spiritual place full of charm, drive a short distance. Begin with the Brahma Temple, which is among the limited temples in the world, which are dedicated to Lord Brahma. It is not a complicated temple and it is a strong one and the atmosphere lets you feel peaceful. Aggress this with the sacred Pushkar Lake which is encircled with numerous ghats. It is in itself an experience to walk around the ghats and observe the rituals.   Pushkar has vibrant markets where one can purchase colorful clothes, jewelry and handicrafts. DAY 03 - Heritage and Culture of Ajmer.

The best place to start is the Taragarh Fort which was constructed in the 14th century and is located on the top of a hill. Much of it is destroyed but the fort has panoramic views to the city and the Aravalli hills. When you walk through its remains, you go back in time, all the way back to kings and soldiers.   Then, go to Mayo College, which is among the oldest and the most recognized schools in India. The campus, which is known because of its colonial-style houses, has a small museum where you can get to learn about its history.   You can come back to Ana Sagar lake in the evening to have a refresh or an outing at Foy Sagar lake, which is very quiet and only a few miles out of the city. It is exactly where you can relax before heading to your hotel due to the calm environment and the beauty of reflection of the hills.

DAY 04 - Leisure, Shopping and Departure.

You should have a light schedule on your final day in Ajmer. Take a walk around the local bazaars including Naya Bazaar and Dargah Bazaar after having breakfast. Such marketplaces are overflowing with colorful Rajasthani handicraft, embroidered fabrics, silver jewelry and souvenirs. You can have fun shopping here and also you get to taste street food as you go through the lanes.   History The Ajmer Government Museum, with a small but noteworthy collection of sculptures, inscriptions, and artifacts, is in case you are interested in history.   Eat local delicacies such as kachori -sabzi, malpua, lassi and hot samosas before departure. Last but not least, leave your hotel, board a train or a bus and go home.
