Itinerary
DAY 01 - Arrival in Haridwar
Your formal Char Dham Yatra begins in Haridwar, which is Uttarakhand's gateway. Arrive at your hotel and check in, then relax for a while before enjoying a little meal. Visit the sacred Har ki Pauri ghat and participate in the immersive Ganga Aarti, which will provide a relaxing experience. Take a stroll around the ghats and soak up the tranquil vibes. After that, go to the Mansa Devi Temple to participate in the rites and explore the surrounding area. Enjoy a small dinner before returning to your hotel to sleep.
DAY 02 - Visit Barkot
Get up early and have breakfast. Then embark on a long picturesque trip to Barkot. On the route, you can visit the Kempty Falls in Mussoorie and relax in the calm setting. On your approach to Barkot, you'll pass through gorgeous scenery, waterfalls, and rivers. Upon arrival in Barkot, check into your accommodation. Take a break and eat some snacks. In the evening, roam about the area and return back to your hotel after eating dinner.
DAY 03 - Visit Yamunotri
Get on the road early in the morning. After eating breakfast, depart for Janki Chatti, the trek's base camp. You have the option of a manual trek or a pony journey. Along the route, you will come across lovely walks and walking trails that will provide you with a peaceful and unforgettable experience. Once you reach your destination, freshen yourself in your camp and have a cup of tea. Next, go to Surya Kund, where you can bathe in the sacred water. Attend the temple of Yamunotri and participate in the ceremonies. Return to Barkot at night after exploring the surroundings of the temple. Eat dinner, then turn in for the night.
DAY 04 - Visit Uttarkashi
Early in the morning, after breakfast, depart for Uttarkashi, a holy town situated beside the Bhagirathi River. Explore the Prakateshwar Cave, a naturally occurring limestone formation, by stopping halfway. Get to Uttarkashi, check into your hotel, and then relax. Walk around the picturesque ghats and participate in the ceremonies after visiting the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. After you get back to your hotel, eat dinner, and then sleep to get ready for the next day.
DAY 05 - Explore Gangotri
Start your journey early in the morning and walk around the Bhagirathi banks to reach the base camp of the trek. Arrive at Gangotri which is the origin point of holy river Ganga. Take a dip in the sacred waters and then visit the Gangotri temple which will give you a soothing experience. Take part in the rituals and explore the architecture and nearby areas of the temple surrounded by snow capped mountains. Return back to Uttarkashi and have your dinner and sleep while you prepare for next day adventure
DAY 06 - Visit Guptkashi
Start your journey early in the morning and arrive at Guptkashi which is the base camp for the Kedarnath Trek. On the way you will see beautiful snow capped mountains, water falls and scenic landscapes. Arrive at Guptkashi after a long 8 hour drive and check in to your hotel. Have some snacks and tea and take a rest for some time. After that, visit Ardh Narishwar Temple and take part in the rituals in the temple. Return back to your hotel and then have your dinner and then sleep
DAY 07 - Arrive in Kedarnath
Start your trek early in the morning and have your breakfast before you leave for your sacred journey to Kedarnath. The trek is 16 kilometers and you have options of manual trekking or choosing between a helicopter and pony. On the way you will encounter scenic paths, snow capped mountain ranges and beautiful waterfalls. Arrive at the sacred Kedarnath temple and take part in rituals and traditions and explore the ancient temple. Start your journey to Guptkashi where you will reach early in morning
DAY 08 - Arrive in Badrinath
After breakfast and a little break at Guptkashi, begin your trek to Badrinath. Along the trip, you will come across stunning locations where you may pause and take in the scenery, such as Joshimath, Govindghat, and Vishnuprayag. When you get to Badrinath, check into your hotel. Rest and eat your munchies after checking in. After that, proceed to the Badrinath temple, which is devoted to Lord Vishnu. After exploring the temple and participating in the Aarti, go to the Tapt Kund, a naturally occurring hot spring. Get back to your hotel, eat dinner, and then go to bed.
DAY 09 - Departure
Start early in the morning and have your breakfast. Leave for your home as your memorable trip comes to an end here.
