Your Do Dham Yatra begins with the holy city of India called Haridwar. Have breakfast and then drive to Guptkashi. The highway passes by mountains, forests and rivers such as the Mandakini. On reaching Guptkashi, book in your hotel and sleep. If you have time, you can go to the Ardhanarishwar Temple, a peaceful spiritual place. Eat dinner and spend the night at Guptkashi.
In the morning, after breakfast, take a drive to Sonprayag. Then go to Gaurikund, the point of the trek to Kedarnath. Pilgrims may walk, use ponies, palki or helicopter (additional fee) to visit Kedarnath Temple. Kedarnath trip is holy and has immense glimpses of the Himalayas. You should go to the temple when you come and seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. The calm atmosphere and the spiritual environment impact each worshiper. When you can attend evening prayers and devote some time to quiet prayer. Stay Overnight at Kedarnath, when there is a stay over.
Wake up early. Pay a morning visit at Kedarnath Temple. The rituals are over now, thus begin your journey back to Gaurikund and head to Guptkashi. Rest after which continue to Badrinath via Joshimath. The highway is beautiful in terms of mountains, rivers and valleys. Although it is a lengthy trip, the landscape makes it entertaining.
