Itinerary

DAY 01 - Arrival in Haridwar

  Reach Haridwar and go into your hotel. The day is kept slow, relaxing and easy to get used to, as Haridwar is the most sacred city of Hinduism, where the holy river Ganges flows. One evening, go to the Ganga Aarti, such a heartfelt ceremony when lamps, chants and prayers fill the atmosphere at Har Ki Pauri. The scene of praying of faithful people on the river shore evokes the strong spiritual feeling. Go back to the hotel and rest and reflect. Overnight stay in Haridwar.

DAY 02 - Haridwar to Rishikesh

  After breakfast, shall proceed a short distance to Rishikesh. On arrival, check in your hotel or ashram-style hotel. Go to Parmarth Niketan, or other ashram to discover more about the philosophy of yoga and regular spiritual practices. Cross Lakshman Jhula and Ram Jhula, taking in the tranquil riverbanks freshness. During the evening, go to the Ganga Aarti in Rishikesh, which is not as loud and meditative as that of Haridwar. Overnight stay in Rishikesh.

DAY 03 - Explore Rishikesh - Yoga, Reflection and Meditation.

This entire day will be devoted to wellness. Start your day with instructed yoga and meditation on the Ganges. Pay visits to spiritual centres and caves of sages and saints after breakfast. Take a break and write by the river or sit in silence. Afternoon at liberty may be devoted to rest, spiritual reading or discourses. It is a day of taking things slow, taking in a deep breath, and coming back to yourself. Overnight stay in Rishikesh.

DAY 04 - Rishikesh to Varanasi Arrival

  Post breakfast, drive to the airport to take a flight to Varanasi, one of the ancient cities of the world. On arrival, get into your hotel and sleep. Watch the grandiose Ganga Aarti in the evening at the Dashashwamedh Ghat. The singing, the candles and the worship here generate a stronger spiritual force than at any other place. Go back to the hotel and spend the night.

DAY 05 - Varanasi Exploration

  Begin with a sunrise boat ride on the Ganges, as morning prayers, rituals and the everyday life of the ghats are followed. Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple and go through the old city lanes that have spiritual meaning. The afternoon is at liberty to rest or communicate with religious scholars. In the night, visit ghats that are less busy, and go to a religious lecture where there is one. Overnight stay in Varanasi.

DAY 06 - Varanasi to Bodh Gaya - Buddhist Path.

  Post breakfast, take a train or bus to Bodh Gaya where Lord Buddha has achieved enlightenment. Get into your hotel and sleep after having your meal. Go to the Mahabodhi Temple that is a UNESCO world heritage site in the evening. Meditate under the Bodhi Tree and take in the calmness of the environment. Overnight stay in Bodh Gaya.

DAY 07 - Meditation and Monasteries of Bodh Gaya.

  Start the day with an experience of meditation at Mahabodhi complex. Subsequently, tour cross-cultural monasteries constructed by Thai, Japanese, Tibetan and Bhutanese Buddhist groups. Both of them depict a different interpretation of Buddhist philosophy. The afternoon is time to be silent and chant or meditate on one’s self. Overnight stay in Bodh Gaya.

DAY 08 - Bodh Gaya to Sarnath and

  Following breakfast, go to Sarnath where Buddha delivered his first sermon. The Dhamek Stupa, museum and monastic ruins. The mood here is so quiet and reflective. Sightseeing then back to Varanasi or proceed with the travel. One-night stay in the area of Sarnath or Varanasi.

DAY 09 - Varanasi to Amritsar via Flight

  In the morning, have breakfast and leave for the airport.Fly to Amritsar and get into your hotel. Visit the spiritual center of Sikhism in the evening, the Golden Temple. Feel the atmosphere of tranquility and watch believers of every kind. Then go to the Langar Hall, where free meals are provided to thousands of people every day, as a sign of equality and service. DAY 10 - Amritsar Arrival

  Breakfast and drive to Dharamshala. The Himalayan- views in your hotel. Taking a stroll around McLeod Ganj, the home of Tibetan monks and spiritual centres taking place in the evening, is a quiet walk to have. The serene setting is predisposing to contemplation and sleep. One night stay in Dharamshala.

DAY 11 - Dharamshala - Monasteries and Departure

  Tour Tibetan monasteries including Namgyal Monastery. Get to know about Buddhism teachings, meditative practices and compassionate living. Breakfast, and then departure. The tour ends with spiritual clarity and inner peace.
