Itinerary
DAY 01 - Welcome and Heritage Walk of the Evening.
Train, bus, or car will reach Bikaner whereby a representative of the Travel People India will receive you and will help you in getting checked into a hotel. In the evening have a heritage walk in the old city of Bikaner after taking a short rest. Tour also beautifully developed havelis, narrow streets and bazaars and sample local delicacies like Bikaneri bhujia. Overnight stay in Bikaner.
DAY 02 - Junagarh Fort and Local Wonders.
You can begin with the sightseeing, after enjoying your breakfast, as the Junagarh Fort, which is well adorned by its antique interiors, complex balconies as well as royal courts. Explore the history of the warriors of Bikaner with a tour around the museum. Afterwards, proceed to the quaint Lalgarh Palace which is the mixture of Rajput, Mughal and European design. Evening in Gajner Palace and Lake A is a fine place to pass your time, watching the birds, watching the sunset on the desert landscape. Overnight stay at Bikaner.
DAY 03 - Deshnok Temple and Camel Country.
In the morning drive to Karni Mata Temple at Deshnok that has friendly rats which the locals believe are holy. Returning to the city, visit the National Camel Breeding Farm where you can see some types of camel breeds and even taste the fresh ice cream made of camel milk. It is optional, in the afternoon you may take a camel safari in the nearby sand dunes and experience the golden beauty of the Thar Desert. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 04 - The Farewell to the Desert City.
Leisurely breakfast and free time to do last minute miniature paintings buying, leather goods or Rajasthani textiles buying. With very nice memories of the forts, palaces as well as sunset in the desert, the team of Travel People India will assist you in departure to the railway station, bus stand or the airport. It would end in an opuentl and cool Bikaner experience.
