DAY 01 - Detailed Itinerary

Morning: Street and Heritage Photography in Old Delhi. The tour commences in the early morning where your hotel is picked. The first visit is Old Delhi which is one of the most colorful and visually rich regions of the city. Begin with Jama Masjid, in which the red sandstone building is illuminated by the early morning light to perfection. Get panoramic shots of structures and the close-ups such as arches, domes, and calligraphy. Then visit Chandni Chowk which is a heaven of street photographers. Shoot down little streets with cycle rickshaws, merchants, hawkers, spices, cloth and street scenes. One can get great prospects of candid portraits, motion shots, and images that tell stories in this area. The confusion, hues and gestures here form very strong frames that actually depict the soul of Delhi. It is time to head out of Old Delhi to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Tomb of Humayun, a popular place among architectural photographers. The symmetrical gardens, the huge arches and the varying light make it ideal in composition practice. Your instructor will assist you in learning about angles and framing to make the monument in its most ideal shape. Afterwards, go to Lodhi Garden, an oasis that provides the contrast to the crowded streets. Take pictures of old tombs, plants, birds and individuals in the natural environment. It is a perfect location where one can play with light, shadows, and minimal compositions.   Afternoon: Lifestyle Photography and People In the afternoon it is high time to visit Connaught Place where the architecture of colonial life is combined with the modern urban life. Film street involving artists, malls, cafes, and everyday life. The shape of the space is circular and offers interesting views and symmetry shots. You will also walk around the streets and shoot vendors, artists and city details. The theme of this session is lifestyle and candid photography, which will enable you to narrate stories with the use of simple moments and human expressions.   Evening: City Mood Photography and Sunset Towards the end of the day, go to India gate to capture sunset. Take captures in silhouettes, reflections, and wide angle shots as the sky alters its colors. The evening light brings a beautiful light to the emotional and balanced compositions. Once the shoot is over, you are dropped back at your hotel and the tour ends with you having a bunch of pictures that are meaningful and also the city of Delhi that is better understood as a photographer.
