Itinerary

DAY 01 - Arrive in Delhi

  Reach  at the airport or railway station in Delhi. Arrive at the hotel, and have a rest after your trip. Being a light day, control is on orientation. Go on a guided tour of the lesser-known heritage streets of Delhi located around Connaught Place, and the Old Delhi lanes. Take a different historical view by paying a visit to Agrasen ki Baoli and the stepwells around. Sightseeing in the hotel during the nights or visiting local craft markets like Delhi Hatt. Overnight stay in Delhi.

DAY 02 - Delhi to Bundi (By Road, 6-7 hrs)

  Breakfast and then leave Bundi, a small historical town in Rajasthan with forts, stepwells, and murals. Stay in a haveli or heritage hotel. Guided tour of Bundi Fort, Taragarh Fort and decorated stepwells (baoris) in the afternoon. Explore secret frescoes, local myths, and native water features. Walking evening tour of small lanes, which are interacted with local artisans engaged in miniature painting and pottery. Overnight stay in Bundi.

DAY 03 - Bundi to Chittorgarh and Bhilwara.

  In morning have Breakfast; then drive to Chittorgarh, with one of the largest and most magnificent forts in India (UNESCO World Heritage tentative site). The complex of the Chittorgarh Fort: Vijay Stambh (Victory Tower), Rana Kumbha Palace, historical temples. Go on to Bhilwara, the home of traditional fabrics and weaving societies. Afternoon tour of local weaving villages to observe the process of handloom and dyeing. Leisure time in the evening at Bhilwara. Overnight stay in Bhilwara.

DAY 04 - Bhilwara to Udaipur (By road)

  Breakfast, then drive to Udaipur the City of Lakes. On the way, visit small villages and crafts workshops of pottery, metal and traditional crafts. Check into a lakeside hotel. Enjoy a relaxing Boat ride in the evening in Lake Pichola and excursion in Jag Mandir Island. Palaces and the local temples are photographed at sunset. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

DAY 05 - Udaipur Cultural-Tribal Discovery

  After breakfast take an off beat tour to the neighboring tribal villages and isolated hamlets around Udaipur. Meet the local Bhil and Meena tribal communities, learn about their traditions, folk dances, and traditional games. Be involved in cooking classes on local cuisine or folk art classes. Go back to Udaipur in the evening, and have some leisure and rooftop cultural performance. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

DAY 06 - Udaipur to Kumbhalgarh and Ranakpur

  Breakfast and then drive to Kumbhalgarh. Kumbhalgarh Fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage, has less visitors as compared to other forts yet has splendid walls that extend across hills. Move on to Ranakpur to see the marvelous complex of the Jain temples characterized by marble construction and full of carvings. Afternoon activity with local sculptors or temple attendants to understand architectural peculiarities and the traditional rituals. Overnight at Ranakpur or in a nearby resort.

DAY 07 - Ranakpur to Mount Abu

  Breakfast then travel to Mount Abu via a scenic road journey., the only hill station in Rajasthan. Check into your camp and rest. On the way visit little offbeat villages where terracotta work and hand loom weaving are practiced. On arrival, see Nakki Lake, Dilwara Jain Temples (marble artistry), have a sunset in the Sunset Point looking at aravalli hills. Evening free to local village markets. Overnight stay in Mount Abu.

DAY 08 - Abu tribal and countryside tour

  Following breakfast, have a guided jeep safari and tourism of the countryside surrounding the mount Abu. Tour Bhil and Garasia tribal hamlets in India to observe their conventional way of life, rituals and art. Take part in folk music and dances, and take part in local cuisine made by locals. Leisure in the evening, taking in the cool climate of the hill station. Overnight stay in Mount Abu.

DAY 09 - Departure

Transfer to Abu Road railway station or nearest Airport after breakfast to take the train to Delhi (or further destination).
