Itinerary
DAY 01 - Arrival in Jodhpur
Your trip starts with you reaching Jodhpur the Blue City of Rajasthan with its historic beauty and royal magnificence. Our representative will welcome you at the airport or in the railway station, and then direct you to your luxury hotel. After checking in, have a period to relax, have a bath and absorb the royal ambiance of the property. The afternoon is a free one and hence you can just rest or be in the comforts of your hotel. During the evening, go out to the colorful center of Jodhpur. Go to the Sardar Market, which is a throng of colorful shops and stalls located close to the iconic Clock Tower. Traditional handicrafts, spices, fabrics and antiques can be found here. The vibrant bazaars are the ideal locations to experience the heart of local life and have a chance to deal with the shopkeepers representing the generations of craftsmanship. Towards the end of the evening, go back to your hotel to take dinner and have a very nice restful sleep. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.
DAY 02 - Mehrangarh fort and Jaswant Thada.
The next place to visit after a good breakfast is Mehrangarh Fort, which is one of the biggest and most spectacular forts in India. This massive creation rises high above the city on a rocky hill and narrates tales of Rajput glory and heroism. The fort has large courtyards, palaces, and museums which display royal treasures, paintings, weapons and costumes. The blue-painted houses are stunning as seen through the ramparts. You can then visit Jaswant Thada, a quiet marble a mausoleum erected in honor of Maharaja, Jaswant Singh II. It is a peaceful area, with manicured gardens, and is right in front of the fort and has great photo opportunities. Take a heritage walk in the evening around the narrow blue lanes of the old city and get the flavor of traditional houses and crowded streets. End the day back at your hotel. DAY 03 - Umaid Bhawan Palace and Mandore Gardens.
You can begin your day by visiting Umaid Bhawan Palace which is a renowned royal palace in India. The palace serves as a luxury hotel in part, a museum in part and in part the royal family of Jodhur is still present. The royal objects of the museum include clocks, weapons, old cars, among others. Afterwards, see the Mandore Gardens which were the seat of the Marwar princes. The gardens are full of numerous temples, memorials and handsome buildings that demonstrate history and nature. You can have time in the evening and take in the hospitality of the hotel. Stay overnight in Jodhpur.
DAY 04 - Osian Desert Safari and Cultural Evening.
Breakfast to-day, then drive to Osian, a Thar desert town. Osian is also famous on its sand dunes and ancient temples which provide adventure and culture. A jeep safari around the dunes is possible or you can ride a camel and have a more relaxed traditional ride. In the night, visit a fancy desert camp where you will be provided with the cultural show, folk dance, live music, and a traditional Rajasthani dinner under the stars. It is going to be a memorable night with the hospitality and lively shows. The program will be followed by the possibility to return to Jodhpur or spend the night at the camp. DAY 05 - Departure
Have breakfast and leave your hotel. One of us will assist you in your leaving. On your way out of Jodhpur, leave behind you some remembrance of great forts, royal palaces, bustling markets, desert visits, and the friendly Rajasthan culture.
