Itinerary
DAY 01 - Arrival at Jaipur – Start with the Pink City
Arrive at Jaipur, the state capital of Rajasthan, famous for its royal heritage and pink-colored buildings. You will be received by Travel People India representative and will be driven to your pre-checked hotel. Start by visiting the world-famous City Palace, a stunning piece of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture. Visit its museums and courtyards to witness the opulence of the royal family. Tour the UNESCO world heritage-listed Jantar Mantar astronomy observatory and marvel at the sophisticated scientific instruments. Take a photo stop at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), renowned for its ornate façade with 953 windows. Overnight Jaipur.
DAY 02 - Jaipur Fort Excursion – Experience Rajput Bravery
Begin the day with breakfast, followed by a visit to Amber Fort, which is situated on top of a hill overlooking peaceful Maota Lake. Hike or drive up to this UNESCO World Heritage monument famous for mirror work, Sheesh Mahal, and royal courts. Visit Jaigarh Fort, the world's largest wheeled cannon. Then visit Nahargarh Fort, a peaceful oasis with wonderful views of Jaipur city. Free evening at leisure for local bazaar visit for handicrafts, block-printed clothes, and jewelry. Overnight stay in Jaipur.
DAY 03 - Jaipur to Mandawa – The Painted Town of Shekhawati
Drive to Mandawa, a Shekhawati town known for its frescoed and painted havelis. Explore some of the most well-known havelis like Murmuria Haveli, Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli, and Jhunjhunwala Haveli. There existed a past history of traders who resided here previously and their commerce, wealth, and cultural refinement. The delicate work of the building and the vibrant pigments of the paintings are proof of a past era of gold. Overnight at Mandawa.
DAY 04 - Mandawa to Bikaner – Desert Forts and Palaces
Drive to Bikaner, the desert walled city in the heart of the Thar Desert. Visit magnificent Junagarh Fort, a grand fort which never fell into the hands of anyone. Its numerous halls and palaces like Phool Mahal, Anup Mahal, and Karan Mahal. In the afternoon, visit Lalgarh Palace, an Indo-Saracenic marvel built for Maharaja Ganga Singh. Red sandstone palace is now partially heritage hotel and museum. Overnight at Bikaner.
DAY 05 - Bikaner to Jaisalmer – Into the Golden City
Drive across desert dunes to Jaisalmer, the Golden City, renowned for its yellow sandstone architecture. After check-in, unwind in the evening along Gadisar Lake, a serene water body fringed by temples and chhatris (cenotaphs). Optional, walk through the bazaar in serene solitude or watch traditional Rajasthani folk performances. Night stay at Jaisalmer.
DAY 06 - Sightseeing of Jaisalmer Fort and Havelis
Visit Jaisalmer Fort, a world's only "living fort." Within its golden walls, Jain Temples, royal palace complexes, and thriving streets are occupied by people where they continue to work and reside. Look into the beautifully carved Patwon Ki Haveli, Salim Singh Ki Haveli, and Nathmal Ki Haveli. These havelis are the finest examples of Jaisalmer's great stone work.Afternoon: Go for a camel safari at the Sam Sand Dunes and witness the sun set over the vast desert. Overnight in Jaisalmer.
DAY 07 - Jaisalmer to Jodhpur – Blue City Wonders
Drive to Jodhpur, or the Blue City. Arrive and visit Mehrangarh Fort, India's finest hill fort. The fort contains palaces, courtyards, galleries, and a museum with royal memorabilia. Travel to Jaswant Thada, white marble memorial for Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Drive past Umaid Bhawan Palace, half of which is still the royal family home and luxury hotel. Overnight at Jodhpur.
DAY 08 - Jodhpur to Udaipur via Ranakpur Temples
Breakfast, and then drive to Udaipur, with a visit en route to the renowned Ranakpur Jain Temples. The 15th-century Tirthankara Adinath temples have 1,444 intricately carved pillars. Arrive in Udaipur, the City of Lakes, and relax at your hotel. Overnight in Udaipur.
DAY 09 - Udaipur – Romance and Royalty
Begin the day at the City Palace, a strong complex of big balconies and courtyards. Visit its museum and enjoy views of Lake Pichola. Visit Jagdish Temple and the nicely preserved Saheliyon Ki Bari. Take an evening boat ride of Lake Pichola with a view of the Lake Palace and Jag Mandir. Alternatively, attend the cultural dance show at Bagore Ki Haveli. Overnight in Udaipur.
DAY 10 - Udaipur Departure
After breakfast, you will be dropped at Udaipur Railway Station or Airport. Take with you the royality of Rajasthan in a memory of the tour package to Rajasthan forts and palaces, serene palaces, and immortal stories.
