Itinerary
DAY 01 - Arrival at Jaipur – The Pink City
Your Rajasthan tour on request begins upon your arrival at Jaipur Airport/Railway Station and are greeted and escorted to your hotel. Rest and check in to the hotel, and then enjoy the colorful bazaars of Jaipur such as Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar, renowned for jewelry, clothes, and handicrafts. This evening offers a good experience of colors and scents of Rajasthan.
DAY 02 - Jaipur Sightseeing
Begin the day after breakfast, with a guided tour of Jaipur's famous landmarks. Begin at Amber Fort, a hill fort and over the landscape, where you have the option of an elephant ride or jeep to the main gate. Visit the palace courtyards, mirror rooms, and royal bedrooms. Proceed to the City Palace, still half-royal residence, and the UNESCO World Heritage Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory. Visit the Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace), whose intricately carved pink facade is renowned worldwide. Experience an evening Rajasthani dinner with folk dance and music.
DAY 03 - Jaipur to Mandawa – Havelis and Frescoes
Breakfast break, and drive on to Mandawa, Shekhawati town famous for its colorful intricately painted havelis. Check into your heritage hotel upon arrival and start out to explore. Walk about the town on narrow streets lined with fresco paintings of mythological and colonial motifs. Explore massive Mandawa Fort and have interactions with native villagers and artisans. Mandawa gives a glimpse of the lost artistic Rajasthan.
DAY 04 - Mandawa to Bikaner – Gateway to the Desert
Breakfast in Mandawa and drive to Bikaner, a desert town famous for camels and buildings. Check into your hotel and then drive to the Junagarh Fort, a beautiful palace complex of temples and courtyards that was built in the 16th century. Explore the quirky Karni Mata Temple, celebra-tedly infested with thousands of holy rats, in the evening. Have a shopping trip around the local bazaars and indulge in Bikaner's world-famous snacks like hot bhujia and sweets.
DAY 05 - Jaisalmer from Bikaner – Into the Golden Sands
Drive today over desert landscape to Jaisalmer, the 'Golden City' which emerges from the sands of the Thar Desert. Arrive in Jaisalmer and take your stay in a hotel. Rest for some time. In the evening, walk over the crowded local bazaars, shop for embroidered cloth, leather items, and handicrafts, or go for a leisurely walk over Gadisar Lake during sunset. The golden sandstone structures of Jaisalmer glimmer magically in the golden hues of sunset.
DAY 06 - Jaisalmer City Tour and Desert Safari
Breakfast and excursion to the world-famous Jaisalmer Fort, the world's living fort, with its cobblestone streets, old Jain temples, and residents still living in their own homes. Explore Patwon Ki Haveli and Nathmal Ki Haveli to experience some Rajasthani architectural grandeur. Explore Sam Sand Dunes in the afternoon to experience a camel ride in the desert. Experience a stunning sunset and evening of local dinner and folk shows at a desert camp against the starry night sky.
DAY 07 - Jaisalmer to Jodhpur – The Blue City
Day out from Jodhpur, blue city and majestic Mehrangarh Fort. Breakfast and hotel check-in later. Start sightseeing with tour of Mehrangarh Fort, magnificent India's imposing fort and bird's eye view fort city. Drive to Jaswant Thada, lovely white marble memorial gem. Walk to Clock Tower and riotous Sardar Market haggling over spices, bangles, and household decor.
DAY 08 - Jodhpur to Udaipur by Ranakpur – Jain Refinement
After morning breakfast, proceed to Udaipur, City of Lakes, City of Dreams. Stop midway at its beautiful Jain Temple, famous for housing 1,444 well-cut marble pillars inside. Drive via picturesque Aravalli hills to Udaipur. On arrival, check into your hotel and relax with a serene boat ride on Lake Pichola, drifting past the beautiful Lake Palace and Jag Mandir.
DAY 09 - Udaipur Sightseeing – Lakes and Palaces
See the majestic beauty of Udaipur by day. Begin in City Palace, a huge complex of museums, balconies, and towers overlooking Lake Pichola. Visit the Jagdish Temple and serene Saheliyon Ki Bari garden. Visit workshops of local artists or buy miniature paintings, jewelry, and traditional dress in the afternoon. Join a cultural performance at Bagore Ki Haveli in the evening featuring Rajasthani folk dances and puppet performances.
DAY 10 - Pushkar from Udaipur – Spiritual Tranquility
Breakfast and morning drive to Pushkar, peaceful town on holy lake. Take a stroll around the world's one of the very few temples meant for worshipping Lord Brahma temple. Go for the sacred walk to Pushkar Lake ghats and relax in the peaceful environment. Stroll over the colorful local bazaar laid out with spiritual souvenirs, traditional clothing and handicrafts. DAY 11 - Jaipur to Pushkar – Departure
Breakfast, farewell Rajasthan and back to Jaipur for your onward journey. You will be dropped at the railway station or airport as per your flight/rail schedule. Take with you the memories of royal palaces, desert dunes, color and vibrancy of bazaars, and warmth of Rajasthani hospitality.
