Itinerary
DAY 01 - Jaipur – Traditional Welcome to Rajasthan
Arrive in Jaipur and be met by a representative from Travel People India. You shall be guided to the hotel. Post check-in, relax at some of the nearby local bazaars and get a welcome dinner along with music. Overnight at Jaipur.
DAY 02 - Jaipur to Samode – A Retreat to the Royal Village
Post breakfast, drive to Samode, a small village famous for its palace and serene surroundings. Overnight at Samode Palace or Haveli. Guided tour of Samode Fort, village walking tour, and village interaction. Optional camel cart ride and sun-bathing at local sand dunes add a peaceful countryside tour. Overnight at Samode.
DAY 03 - Mandawa - Shekhawati Open-Air Art Gallery
Breakfast and drive to Mandawa in the Shekhawati region and famous for its painted havelis adorned with frescoes. Guided village walk around Mandawa village and see heritage havelis, crafts shops, and antique shops. Cultural dance show under the backdrop of a starry night sky. Stay overnight in a heritage haveli at Mandawa.
DAY 04 - Mandawa to Khimsar – Life in the Desert Village
Drive to desert village Khimsar, on the fringes of the Thar. Stay overnight at Khimsar Fort or a nearby countryside resort. Afternoon: Camel cart village hamlet tour and sand dune excursion. Encounter with local farmers and artisans. Optional: Stargazer dinner in the evening with live local music. Overnight at Khimsar.
DAY 05 - Blue City Introduction from Khimsar – Jodhpur
Drive to Jodhpur, the Blue City of Rajasthan. Drive through countryside and visit a local village of potters en route. Explore Mehrangarh Fort and Clock Tower Market for some culture and heritage. Relaxing evening. Overnight at Jodhpur.
DAY 06 - Rohet – Real Village Experience
Short drive leads you to Rohet, a peaceful village which is famous for cultural tourism and luxury homestays. Overnight at Rohet or similar. Go on a jeep safari in the village, explore Bishnoi tribal villages, opium ceremonies, weaving, and rural heritage. Watch a folk dance show and dine near the lake to end your day. Overnight at Rohet.
DAY 07 - Rohet to Ranakpur – Temple Tranquility and Countryside Scene
Breakfast and then proceed to Ranakpur, located in hills and forests. Visit the beautiful Ranakpur Jain Temples, renowned for their exquisite marble work. Take a local tribal village or tranquil trek in the Aravallis on foot in the evening. Night halt at a countryside resort near Ranakpur.
DAY 08 - Countryside Drive to Udaipur
Drive on the picturesque countryside route to Udaipur, through villages and farms. Arrive and check into a heritage homestay or lakefront resort. Evening relaxation of spontaneity or trip to an off-city village. Overnight halt at Udaipur.
DAY 09 - Udaipur – City of Lakes & Village Hospitality
Morning city palace and Jagdish Temple tour, followed by serene boat cruise in Lake Pichola. Evening excursion to Shilpgram, artist village with age-old traditions. Mini pottery workshop or farmhouse cooking workshop. Night overnight at Udaipur.
DAY 10 - Departure from Udaipur
Relaxed breakfast, departure from Udaipur Airport or Railway Station, and complete your rural experience with Travel People India.
