Udaipur is a fairy tale city! It has shimmering palaces, glittering lakes, flower gardens and pavements of color. Circle around the royal city and look at huge fortresses, silent lakes, mystic court yards. It is possible to make uncountable pictures and taste the Rajasthan delicacies, purchase small trifles in the local markets in Udaipur. The 2-day tour is what it is, and it is expected to make the most attractive locations in the city appear in an amusing and light-hearted fashion. It does not happen that in a single place, one would not find something interesting to do.
It is a mini adventure that is taken in such a manner that nobody has issues when feeling the royalty of Udaipur. It will be not only an educational trip, but a warm and entertaining one as a boat will be rowed through the sparkling lakes and through the historical palaces and gardens.
Itinerary
DAY 01 - Arrival and City Fun
Reach Udaipur and reach the hotel. Take a brief break and relax in the city. After breakfast, one should visit City Palace of India which is one of the largest and most beautiful palaces. Gazing at glittering halls, royal apartments and colored courts. Post 1000 photos to friends and family. Secondly, the Jagdish Temple is one of the largest temples with exquisite carvings and statues. It is as though one is going inside a fairy book! Get out and go sailing on Lake Pichola where the water is diamond-sparkling in the afternoon. Visit Hotel Island of the lake and visit the gardens and ruins of the palace. The boat ride is very comical, the water is chilled and one gets winds and the scenery around the water is stunning with the backdrop of the City Palace at the background. Travel to local shopping malls after the ride. Shopping spurt on colors, though small scale souvenirs, Rajasthani handicraft, even eat some sweet desserts and namkeens. It is in the evening that one can spare to relax in the hotel and have dinner with soft music. Stay overnight in Udaipur.
DAY 02 - Lakes and Farewell
Breakfast, and then drive to Saheliyon Ki Bari, queen's garden. wander in the fountains, flowers and cutie peacocks. The garden is lovely and serene and it is ideal for taking pictures and rest. Then to Fateh Sagar Lake, a serene lake having a couple of islands and beautiful sceneries. Ride a small boat on the water and have fun with the water ride. The lake would then take a go-back to the hotel to take lunch and have a rest. Afternoon: Racing shopping in the local markets of handcraft, miniature paintings, and sweets. The place is vibrant, casual and amusing. Make sure that the tour is a pleasant one, capture as many photos as possible and probably have a snack on the way home. Fly home or even ride home and come home fresh and happy. Lunch and some last shopping of the souvenirs: handicrafts, or tie-and-dye fabrics, good bye to the royal land. Carry away a baggage of incurable cases, images and recollection of what was a journey consisting of lakes, strong places and wilderness
