Introduce yourself in Delhi and proceed to your hotel. Wait a moment, and go to Old Delhi. Visit the Red Fort a large red sandstone fort by Shah Jahan. Enter through its gates, the courtyards, halls and walls, and get to know some of its history. The second place of interest is Jama Masjid which is one of the largest mosques in India. Go up the staircase to see the full picture of the streets. Stroll across the Chandni Chowk which is a bustling marketplace containing various stores that deal with clothing, jewellery and also local snacks. Delhi food can be tried by trying taste chaat, samosas and jalebi. At night, take a drive around India Gate which is a war memorial having lawns and fountains. Take photos, relax and then head to the hotel where dinner and an overnight stay will be experienced in Delhi.
Sightseeing in New Delhi after breakfast. Tour the tallest brick tower in India, Qutub Minar and see its carvings. Then see Humayun Tomb of Mughal style garden tomb. Take a stroll in the garden and have the serene feel. Then come to the Lotus Temple, which is in the form of a lotus flower. It is peaceful and silent, suitable to take pictures or have rest. Then, drive by Rashtrapati bhavan and parliament house after lunch and visit the long Rajpath. Later, drive to Agra. Have dinner in your hotel and sleep. Later in the evening go to Mehtab Bagh which is a garden on the Yamuna river to view the Taj Mahal during the sunset. Take dinner and spend the night at Agra.
Early in the morning, visit Agra after breakfast, visit the Taj Mahal. This is a world wonder which is also a white marble monument constructed by Shah Jahan in honor of his wife Mumtaz. Tour the gardens and make photographs. Then go to Agra Fort, which is a large fort, consisting of palaces, mosques, and courtyards. The Taj Mahal is visible at a distance as seen at the fort. Sightseeing and thereafter drive to Jaipur, the Pink City. Good-bye at Fatehpur Sikri, the ancient Mughal capital. Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid and Panch Mahal. Go on to Jaipur and get into the hotel. During the evening, visit nearby markets and buy handicraft, textile and jewellery. Dine and spend the night at Jaipur.
It is then followed by a visit to the Amber Fort upon a hill after breakfast. Walk or take a jeep to the fort. Tour around the Sheesh Mahal, Diwan-i-Aam and the courtyards. Enjoy the view of Maota Lake. Take pictures at Jal Mahal which is a gorgeous palace situated in the center of the lake. Visit City Palace which is a royal complex including museums and halls, visit Jantar Mantar that is the old observatory with stone tools. Drive to Rishikesh. Check into your hotel. In the evening, come to the Ganga Aarti in Triveni Ghat, it is a religious and calm event. Listen to the ringing of bells, chants and lamps migrating on the river. Eat dinner and spend the night Rishikesh.
Rishikesh, the yoga capital of India, to be explored after breakfast. Walk on Laxman Jhula a well known bridge across the Ganga. Another bridge with small temples is the visit of Ram Jhula. Chill at the ghats and have the river view. The adventure lovers can also have optional river rafting or yoga. Visit Triveni Ghat in the day time to have tranquility. Following sightseeing, lunch and do a little shopping of souvenir such as hand crafts, spirituals and local snack. And then later on, drive back to Delhi, to leave to your home or the next destination.
