Arrival in Jaipur, the colourfully named Pink City. Your Travel People India representative greets you and organizes a transfer to the hotel. Enjoy the afternoon city tour of City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and Hawa Mahal façade. Savor Rajasthan's royal legacy before you set off on your nature-intensive travels. Overnight in Jaipur.
Travel to Ranthambore National Park, the best-known tiger sanctuary in India. Arrive and check in at your wildlife resort. Afternoon: Set off on your inaugural jungle safari inside the park and see tigers, leopards, sambar deer, sloth bears, and scores of species of birds striding freely inside the wild. Overnight accommodation at Ranthambore.
Experience morning and afternoon safaris at different places of Ranthambore. Lake landscapes, dry deciduous forests, and ancient ruins of the park is a photographer's paradise. Post-safari outing, visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ranthambore Fort with a bird's-eye view of the woods below. Night stay at Ranthambore.
Travel to Bharatpur, the place of Keoladeo Ghana National Park, a World Heritage Site and one of the world's best bird sanctuaries. Take the wetlands on cycle rickshaw or on foot, where Siberian cranes (seasonal), painted storks, egrets, herons, and kingfishers can be spotted. Overnight at Bharatpur.
Following breakfast, drive to Sariska Tiger Reserve in the Alwar district. Get into your forest lodge. Evening: jeep safari in the reserve. Tiger, leopard, hyena, jungle cat, and antelopes like nilgai and chinkara are to be kept an eye out for. Night halt at Sariska.
Drive to Jodhpur, the beginning of the west Indian wilds of Rajasthan. Reach and check in into the hotel. Visit Mehrangarh Fort, perhaps one of the finest of all Indian forts. Then walk over above the blue city's old town and climb up at the colourful bazaars. Overnight at Jodhpur.
Drive to Kumbhalgarh, a destination which has heritage status at the highest level with UNESCO, along with a super wildlife sanctuary. On arrival, visit the massive Kumbhalgarh Fort with the world's second-largest fort wall and spectacular views. Jeep safari or nature walk in Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to wolves, leopards, antelopes, and other avifauna. Night halt at Kumbhalgarh.
Drive to Udaipur, breaking en route at the much-visited Ranakpur Jain Temples famous for their 1,444 intricately carved marble pillars. On reaching Udaipur, relax with a boat ride on Lake Pichola, moving past the breathtaking Lake Palace and Jag Mandir Overnight in Udaipur.
Sightseeing at City Palace, Jagdish Temple, and beautiful Saheliyon Ki Bari gardens. Visit Bagore Ki Haveli, where royal clothing and tribal art are displayed. Relax in the evening at leisure or visit a nearby auditorium for a cultural dance show. Overnight at Udaipur.
