Itinerary

01

DAY 01 - Arrival in Udaipur – City Palace, Jagdish Temple, Lake Pichola Boat Ride & Jag Mandir

When you get to Udaipur our staff will receive you and take you to your hotel. Once you have checked in and rested a bit, you are ready to embark on your adventure in the royal land of Udaipur.Began with a visit to the City Palace as it is the most noticeable building in the city. The palace exposes the story of the glorious past of Mewar with its elaborate balconies, towers, courtyards, and gallery in the museum. All this will hook you with the royal architecture, mirror work, and antique collection as you explore its chambers and courtyards.A stone throw away is the Jagdish Temple that was built in the 17th century in honor of Lord Vishnu. The intricate carvings and the marble stairs that curve up to the shrine are some of the sacred and historic treasures of Udaipur as the setting sun starts softening. The best part of the day is the boat ride in this lake giving marvelous sights of the City Palace, lake palace, and Aravalli hills in water. You can also visit Jag Mandir, a romantic island palace with marble buildings made out of marble and a serene garden, which can be reached by boat.

DAY 02 - Sajjangarh, Fateh Sagar Lake, Saheliyon Ki Bari, Vintage Car Museum & Bagore Ki Haveli

Hilltop Sajjangarh Palace or the Monsoon Palace is the first attraction of the day. The palace was originally constructed to monitor the monsoon clouds but now it makes a brilliant observation point. The panorama of the lakes, rural and urban areas is something that you will demand to fix with your camera.After the descent you can visit Fateh Sagar Lake, a tranquil lake with boating and gardens. You may, alternatively, take a boat ride to Nehru Garden Island, smack in the middle of the lake.Then enter into the beautiful and artistic Saheliyon Ki Bari, or the Garden of the Maidens. This garden was constructed in honour of royal women and has lotus ponds, fountains, marble elephants and well kept flower beds.Move on to the Vintage car museum which is a dream paradise to those who love vehicles. This open-air museum features a spectacular assortment of traditional automobiles that were once owned by Maharanas of Udaipur including rare Rolls Royces and Cadillacs.Visit Bagore Ki Haveli at night, a short walk away in Gangaur Ghat. It has now been turned into a museum exhibiting artifacts, costumes and traditional architecture in the haveli. Do not miss the evening cultural show at its courtyard which was held in its honorance of the Rajasthani culture, dance and musical performances with puppet plays

DAY 03 - Shilpgram Visit – Local Market Exploration – Departure from Udaipur

On the day of departure, make a visit after breakfast and check-out of the Shilpgram, a rural village constructed with arts and crafts just outside Udaipur. This living museum enhances Rajasthan and near states on traditional crafts and folk arts. Stride along mud houses, craft shops and craft exhibitions that have a sense of real life in the village. This is particularly known as Shilpgram that has a lot of handmade items and you will find a good choice to purchase as a souvenir to the artists themselves.After the cultural visit, take some time to visit local markets in Udaipur. Hathipole, Bada Bazaar and Clock Tower Market are some of the favourite markets which specialize in handloom textiles, miniature paintings, silver jewellery and colorful Rajasthani clothes. Spend time browsing hand-made items or just have a look around the colorful lanes and atmosphere.Depending on your departure time, we will organize a convenient drop to the railway station, the airport, or the bus stand.
